I always ordered before the shipping deadline. I always paid for overnight shipping. The medicine always arrived 3-5 days later. The last order, which I cancelled, also included medicine my pets need, but I did not order. Found out my account was placed on "auto ship", which I never agreed to. Will be looking for another pharmacy.
Avoid buying from PetMeds if at all possible... I HIGHLY recommend sticking with Chewy and more reliable pet supply companies. I ordered my dog's prescription food 11 days ago and it still has not shipped. The chat function on their website is useless. I have now had multiple agents tell me that they "will have someone from our order specialist dept to contact the vendor to see what is going on with the order and tracking." The agent continued to say, "I do know it does take 2 to 3 business days for the vendor to ship out the order." When you order with Chewy you receive your item at your door 2-3 days after you order it.
800petmeds over the course of two years I don't think ever shipped anything on time. Worse, most items, foods in particular, are drop shipped and 800petmeds has no control and often doesn't even know what is going on. The final straw is that their internal systems are hopelessly screwed up. They often just skip shipments without notice when they don't have or cant get an item, no notification. The autoship system will not only skip, but also double fill and double charge you. If you dare complain they ignore you and block you on social media. I will never do business with these people again, it's just hopeless.

Order was a week late, called customer service and got someone who couldn't speak English very well. I couldn't understand him. I hate companies that use foreign customer service. California pet from now on.
My order took 6 days before it was even shipped. After a ph call they said they couldn't expedite it. Finally i got an email saying it was shipped USPS. The tracking # was invalid.
When you get great service from amazon and others petmed leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Have 3 dogs and they all had prescription for flea and tick and heart worm med for 1 yr. PetMeds somehow lost 2 dogs flea and tick prescription and will not fill. Saying I had no refills because they put all 3 under 1 dogs name. I question them and they lie and say never had prescription but sent me some originally. Vet will not renew until year is up so now my dogs have to suffer without flea and tick meds. Bull $#*!. Will never order from them again.

I ordered some thyriod medication for my cat. I thought I'd give them a try because they had a deal for first time orders. I ordered 2 months of medication and would recieve 35% off and I planed on going on auto ship.
I recieved a 20 day supply and they kept the other 40 days worth and said they would send them out as refills! They were going to charge me $65 every 20 days! I spoke with the vet, he did not write the prescription for 20 days. They point blank lied to me and try to steal 60 from me every 20 days!. I work at a drs office and have to call in scripts all the time. I guess they weren't counting on that. Please be careful if you plan on doing business with this company.

I went here to save money on meds for my rat terrier. I will start looking for another company. First, she had a heartworm exam October 2023, and the meds were denied. She went for yearly shots 12/26/23, and I denied the heartworm exam since she just had one. This was the vet's error and not them; however, both parties have made it difficult and a pain in the tail for meds! Both parties should work together to correct the mistakes, and I should not have had to call three times! Then, they denied the gabapentin she is on. They state the vets with the pharmacy denied the meds because it was too soon to order a controlled substance. Interesting! Your customer services reps advised this wouldn't be an issue as long as the vet approved. Do they not all work together and are they not all on the same page? I work total loss insurance, and I go over and beyond to do my best. They should do the job I do and maybe get taken down notches. I deal with a lot daily, and I have to do your jobs too. Get it together! I should call once and it all be taken care of, but every time, this becomes an ordeal.
It's been an entire week, no shipping, no word from company. Bad business. Would not recommend! 0/10

We had our pets medication on automatic delivery. We received a new bank card, so our order failed to process. The phone calls began and would not stop. I put them on our phones call block so it would only ring once. The phone calls continued. I cancelled the orders. I contacted customer support. They closed my account. The phone calls continued. I tried adding the number to Verizons Call Block list. It is an invalid entry. The phone calls continued. Every 2 minutes and the phone rings once as its on my phone systems call block. I will NEVER order anything from this company again. I am reporting them to the BBB.
This company cancelled my orders and accused my of having multiple accounts with them. I just recently got my first pet in my entire life (a dog for my daughter) and just signed up for a PetMeds account in the last week. I placed two orders over the first week and went to place a third order. I called in to inquire about the order shipment and was told my account was frozen. I was transferred over to a supervisor, who would only name himself as "Jack", and he told me that I could not do business with him anymore and that I had multiple accounts. I asked how I have multiple accounts and wondered if someone had stolen my identity or something like that. I asked for details, but Jack would not give any details about the accounts that he said were mine, but that are not mine. I'm not sure how he could attribute an account to mine when I had never used the 1800 pet meds website before in my life. He simply stated that I would have to file a subpeona to receive any information about my account.

I am unsure if they are involved in identity theft, since they continually stated that I have multiple accounts, yet wouldn't provide any information regarding this. I assume that they are somehow covering up their activities.
I called for an RX for Simparica and later received an email indicating that I needed to physically obtain the perscription from my VET. I called back and was informed that I could not upload the RX via email and had to send it by snail mail. After approximately 3 weeks, the prescription did not arrive so I made my third call where I learned that PetMeds canceled my order! When I complained, the staff member hung up mid sentence and did not call back even though they had my phone number. I will never do business with Petmeds again.

Ordered flea meds from them when I was in a terrible situation with my little Chi. His topical meds stopped working way before I could reapply and he was getting fleas. My vet told me I could safely use a chewable, so I ordered Nexgard from PetMeds and paid the outrageous charge for overnight delivery. I was promised it would be delivered the next day. They said they received the prescription past their cutoff for the next day delivery, but assured me it would arrive by the next day. When I received the delivery confirmation from UPS, it said it wouldn't be delivered until four days later. Meanwhile, my dog is suffering with fleas and I had now paid for overnight delivery but receiving the meds within the regular 3-5 day free delivery window. This was my first time ordering from them and it will definitely be MY LAST TIME! They promise what they can't do...very unreliable!

I spoke with a customer service agent named Al over the phone, my payment had failed to process and I called just to push it through. Al took the time to help me adjust info on my account, asked to make sure my dog Rico was doing okay, and overnighted my package to make sure that Rico got his medication in a timely fashion since I had run out! I was very impressed, and very thankful. I fully intend to use pet meds for my needs going forward. Thanks so much Al, I hope your intuitive customer service gets acknowledged and rewarded!

My dogs flea meds were about to expire on 8/6. So on 8/1 I ordered more medication from Petmeds. Well, Petmeds dragged their feet and didn't contact the vet until after the rx had expired. Now, because of their laziness and inattentiveness, I have to pay for a complete office visit and panel just to have a new rx issued. Great Job PetMeds!

I inquired seven times about my order and received a different response each time, two of them being quite rude, one being a supervisor. I called again today and learned that the product I ordered a month ago is out of stock. They never let me know this, and I've been waiting for it.
I authorized a charge for 74.99 on my card and finalized the order. Moments later I got a notification from my bank saying I was charged 121.59! The order page still says 74.99 total as well. I reached out to them via email and they told me they would refund me 41.19 in 3 to 7 business days. I found this shady as it still would make my total 5.33 more than I ever authorized, so at this point I told them to just cancel my order all together as I don't feel comfortable doing business with them anymore. A couple hours pass and my card was charged another 14.22 and I have no clue for what! So far this company has charged me 60.74 more than I EVER authorized! I am curious how many people this happen to that don't happen to keep close tabs on their finances! Customer service also did not apologize even once for this issue.
Their markup is incredible, it takes 2 weeks to receive the medications from New Zealand, but I order in advance and never run out, like I said their markup is awful.

I have one product that I have on repeat delivery, and I'm fairly satisfied with that. BUT! I recently had trouble logging in and was forced to call them, and the CS rep took it upon herself to remove my saved payment methods without asking if I would like her to do that. Also note that my vet will not send prescriptions to them because they believe that the risk of receiving bogus meds is too high.

I will never use petmeds again. It's better to use your local Sam's Club or Costco for your pet's meds. I had nothing but issues using petmeds. I notified three times of the autoship not sending medication on time. Then I have to scrabble and get pills from the vet. One time the auto ship didn't ship at all. All I get is a I'm sorry, or a $10 credit. They don't give a sh*t or fix sh*t I'm done!
Ordered product, it didn't arrive after several days, so called the site, was assured my product would ship out that day, paid for overnight shipping, it still didn't arrive so called the site again, was told that oh, they had lied to me the previous day, they actually didn't have the product in stock and wouldn't for at least another 2 weeks. They never once contacted me to let me know they didn't have the product, the website didn't list it as backordered.

Unfortunately I had a rocky start with receiving my order due to some kind of computer glitch. The first two customer service reps were very nice but I never received my order. Then the third time was the charm! I got TAMARA! She fixed the glitch, told me she would make sure my order was sent out and made a follow up call to make sure I received my package! My daughter's kitten developed cherry eye, which is very rare for kittens. She spent 2 days calling or stopping at stores looking for the medication with no luck. I actually found it on PetMeds website. The cost was under $14.00, but they offered overnight shipping for $19.99. With her kitten needing this medication, I paid for overnight shipping. I was extremely upset when I received an email this morning that I would not receive my order until tomorrow. I called customer service and she informed me that they don't do overnight shipping on weekends. I told her there was nothing stated on the website that no overnight shipping was available on weekends. I will never place another order with PetMeds. I am also pretty sure I will not receive any form of contact from PetMeds.
I received a credit from a PetsMed email in December. I didn't use it right away and got multiple further emails reminding me to use it. When I finally did, they cancelled my order saying the items were out of stock. I went on the website and every single item is showing being available, so someone lied. Of course they don't do this until the credit has expired, so there is no way to use it. I have emailed them about it, but don't hold out much hope of getting a reply. No more PetMeds.com for me! Nor will I recommend it to anyone else.

Let me just start by saying that the only reason I gave more than one star was because of their online customer service. My senior dog has mobility issues and requires pain meds. I placed orders over two consecutive months for the same meds for the same pet, and had issues both times that were only resolved because I called them.
First, in order to enter a different shipping address than my billing address I had to reenter my card information. This did two things: 1) It triggered a fraud alert on my card, which then was declined; and 2) It changed my billing address to be the same as my shipping address, which also resulted in a decline on my card.
Second, they never informed me that there was a problem with my order. They merely sent me an email that confirmed my order. I only found out there was a problem with my order when I logged back on to my account to check on my order, and saw the order status which read "Problem" as a hyperlink. When I clicked on the hyperlink, the exact same page loaded again in a new tab of my browser. It provided NO information about the problem with my order.
Both times I have used the website to order I have ended up calling customer service to have them complete the order. The website is useless, and I will not be using it again. I will use a different provider next time--one whose website actually works!
