I tried this for the first time yesterday. The food turned out delicious. Nice flavors that were a good change from my normal weeknight meals. It was more work than I was expecting. For some reason I was thinking these would be simple meals (i.e. Ready in 15 minutes). But that's not a negative. Having all the fresh vegetables and ingredients to make it yourself taste way better than pre-prepped meals out of a box. Overall I thought it was pretty darn good. My only complaint would be the amount of packaging that it comes in. It's a nice presentation and very well packaged, but it's sooooo much packaging. Seems like a lot of waste.

They double charged for my weeks all the time. No one would ever get my refunds done even with proof. They stole $600 from me and all they could do as a refund is $91.50. They will continue to take money from you and refuse to help or do anything about it. I had to cancel my subscription and I'm willing to bet I'll get another charge after I've cancelled.

I used hello fresh years ago. In November 2023 (after their profit warning and share price collapse) I got a sales call. I declined the offer they were selling. But they began charging me and sending me boxes every week immediately after. I kept emailing and calling to stop the orders but they kept coming. And now they are refusing to refund me boxes I never ordered.
I subscribed for a couple months and was actually satisfied with the food. However, I cancelled a delivery while going on vacation. They ignored the cancellation and sent $50 worth of food I did not want and will have to throw away. I figured I would cancel the subscription and then the real nightmare began. Hours clicking back on their site without actually finding the "cancel" button. Finally called and successfully cancelled. Overall food was good, but this seems to be mainly a high pressure sales operation.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! I received a free welcome box from a friend. The food itself was fresh, 2 out of 3 of the meals tasted great. However the portions were really small. There was no food left after me and my boyfriend cooked the 4 portions meal even though we eat the normal amount. After I canceled the subscription they took 54€ from my bank account. Called customer service and they told me they're gonna refund me the money thankfully so I hope they were telling the truth. I've heard about this happening to other people too so do not buy from here.

I clicked on the discount link and its automatically reactivated an account i have not used for 3 years. Took the money out of my account and i contacted them straight away! I was told its not possible to cancel or choose dishes! Absolutaly ridiculios! So i paid for something i cant eat as one of dishes is beef and i dont eat beef! They say you can edit up to 5 days before delivery date but i clicked on the discount 5 days and 2 hours before delivery.
We received our 1st box Thursday, canceled within their time period and still charged us, that's how they make their money! Complete scam and they're con artists! Don't buy! Will be making our own meals again. Thought this would be convenient since we are due with a baby and it was the opposite. When I called to get my money back for them charging me for yet another box after I had cancelled, they will put you on hold every time you talk about the issue in hopes you let it slide, literally 5-10 min at a time this happened 4 times. Then they claim that there's nothing they can do because the box is sent. Which isn't my problem, companies like this is the reason why America is falling apart, your word means nothing anymore, big corpos taking $ from middle class families what's new. It's not convenient, it's not fresh, it doesn't taste great, and they customer service & helpfulness to their consumers is TRASH. 0/10 stars!

Hello fresh have taken £50 out of my account whilst I had a look last week at their meals - they said I re subscribed when I didn't. I didn't choose any meals from them or place any order. Having a box delivered at 10:30-11:30 today. I have never been so angry in my life.
Offered me £10 refund. Which I declined. Manager calling me back in A FEW DAYS. How disgusting is that! Also didn't get any email confirmation of order- he said 'they don't really do that'. How appalling. I'm so angry and £50 down with a food box I don't want and have no idea what's in it. He said they generated an order for me because I was too slow in checking out - so they chose my meals.
My sister got me a $100 (virtual, sent via email) gift card for Christmas. She had done this with Blue Apron before with no issues. I set up my account with HelloFresh and everything seemed good. I was a couple days from them shipping my first box. I received an email out of nowhere saying they were sorry to see me go. I logged in and saw that my account was cancelled. Everything was wiped out. I contacted help and they told me I had cancelled my account, which obviously I did not. They said they would set it back up, but when I wanted to make sure they applied the gift card, they said that was already used and I couldn't apply it again. It was outrageous. I had the code and everything. I had not received anything from them. I asked to have a supervisor call me. Three times I was promised a call with no follow up. They are thieves. They kept offering me little discounts as if that's as good as the 100 dollars my sister spent on this. No.

I wouldn't trust them with your payment info. They charged PayPal even though they had the gift card to charge initially (before they just cancelled my account all together). Stay away from them and use another service.
They were charging my credit card twice, when I'd call to let them know I'd get a rep who refused to help. They wouldn't look into it or anything! Not sure why they pay people to NOT do customer service.
Very gluten/carb heavy and you can't opt out. Meals take FOREVER to make. NOT faster than going to the grocery store and making on my own.
They only have a few veggie options and it was ALWAYS the same! We got green beans 90% of the time, and they were only not rotten one time.

Absolutely appalling service. I rejoined after a gap of a few years as I wanted to try these meals again. Previously we were able to cancel on the app easily. However now when I go through the app I am directed to a phone number. I am non verbal and phonecalls are impossible. So I found thier customer service email address and explained this asking that they cancel my subscription for me due to being unable to make a phone call. I was then promptly sent an email telling me to call the phone number to do this from a customer service representative. I have had to inform my bank that I don't wish any further payments to be taken and change my card details to prevent any further payments. This is absolutely revolting that a firm like hello fresh are so discriminate when I made it clear what my disability was and I will be taking this further.
Would you demand that a wheelchair user climb a flight of stairs to cancel their subscription. How do you expect someone non verbal to do this verbally. I have attached a copy of my email and their response so there is no doubt this is a genuine experience.

I can't believe a business as big as hello fresh who can take time to answer an email within hours of it been sent can't take into consideration that I am disabled and make reasonable adjustments to cancel my subscription when I am unable to make a phonecall due to disability.

So we kept getting these mail ads for HelloFresh and decided to try them. Bad move. First, they sent an email after the date of arrival of the first "Free" box which never arrived saying that the "carrier notified them that the box had been lost or damaged". I attempted at this point to cancel the subscription which I finally managed to do. No answer at the number provided to call with problems, no response from the auto-mated chat bot, and they are still sending emails saying my package will arrive. This is week two, and neither the first or second box have arrived. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

I'm profoundly disheartened and hurt by the company's deplorable actions, as they have squandered my time and wrongfully extracted my funds.
Allow me to elucidate the situation further: during my vacation, I dutifully cancelled two delivery orders, yet they audaciously levied a £67 charge and falsely asserted that I had reactivated the cancelled delivery. What compounds my frustration is the stark apathy displayed by their customer service agents towards my complaint and refund request. To make matters worse, they insist on their inability to cancel the order, despite its status as neither prepared nor shipped. My efforts to reach a higher authority were in vain, as I was denied the opportunity to speak to a manager. This situation reeks of fraudulent activities, and it is painfully evident that the welfare of their customers holds no significance to them. Their customer service, in a word, is abysmal.
Regrettably, I was left with no recourse but to escalate the matter by reporting this fraudulent charge to my bank and promptly terminating my subscription to prevent further complications.
I earnestly advise against engaging with Hello Fresh to spare yourselves the distress I have endured. From my perspective, their cuisine is overpriced relative to its quality. While their recipes may be passable, the portions are woefully inadequate, and the quality of their meat and ingredients leaves much to be desired. It is my firm belief that superior culinary experiences, at a more reasonable cost, can be readily obtained through the use of a simple recipe book.
My curiosity is piqued by how Hello Fresh will address this complaint, and I hope they take measures to rectify their lamentable customer service.

I signed up for this subscription thinking it's gonna help me plan my meals at night the first order I receive they don't even give me all my meats. The customer service reps are great in helping but they don't really solve your issue which is getting me the correct amount in my order. I chose to cancel this subscription indefinitely.
Soooo, my friends order HelloFresh and I'll give it to you, HELLOOO FRESH! The meals are great, the veggies are always fresh and delicious, the meats, eh coulda used a bigger portion.
All the meals say 15-30 min prep and cook time, BUT they never once stated that it would cover the kitchen in prep utensils, (knives, bowls, pots and pans, cutting board, etc) and honestly, they should tell me it would take 2 hours to clean up the plethora of mess that is hello fresh.
I think you should send disposable dishes, Clorox wipes AND Dawn dish soap. I put that $&?T on everything. Do you realize how much soap i actually use? And my water bill, what are you guys gonna do about it.
On another note, why does all the food taste like Dawn dish soap?

We've been with hf for over a year. It started good but the quality has went to crap. More then 3 times I've got carrots that I could bend to a u. I have carrots in my fridge for over 2 weeks that don't do that so they sent months old carrots. The diced chicken is horrible. Cut into inconsistent tiny pieces. I just got pork chops that wernt even chops. They were the end. And obviously old. I'm almost done with them. I never complain publicly but it's getting ridiculous. Don't get me started on the tiny garlic cloves. I just don't understand how an employee could package the carrots I've got without basically saying fu to the customer..
When I first got Hello Fresh I was really impressed but over the last 8 weeks I have had missing items and changes.
Today was the final straw. 4 out of my 5 meals has been changed.
Asparagus and Broccoli has been replace in 4 meals with Green Bean!
Id rather have a tin of processed peas.
I dont know what has gone wrong but it is now not worth the money.

Dont bother honestly they seem to be paying more celebrities on Instagram to say how wonderful they are then sorting out their problems with the people who actually pay for their service.
I honestly enjoyed HelloFresh since it saved me a trip to the grocery store. Randomly we would receive the wrong meals all together or we would be missing items. Wasn't honestly that big of a deal. Well recently I started noticing random separate charges to my bank account from hello fresh on top of what my box should cost. It ranged from 9-24 dollars. I couldn't figure it out and the website is nearly impossible to navigate when it comes to customer complaints. I would not recommend.
Our children gave us a gift certificate for this. What a nightmare trying to use it. Their website is horrible to navigate around, we still had to pay our own Money for delivery fee which they wouldn't take off the gift card. Customer service was horrible. The meals are terrible and so overpriced it's insane what you pay for. Portions are so small, I could buy meals for a whole week for what they charge for 1 meal. I don't know how anyone like this or thinks it's a good service. They also have everything extra that you have to pay more for and again couldn't use gift card for those. So for a gift from our kids who thought it would be nice we ended up paying over 50 just to try and use it. Still trying to cancel and getting run around. What a terrible company

The products/ingredients that the sell you guys are not always good a lot of meat & vegetables that they give are bad & this company will still give their customers them. I was in the main warehouse in Newark New Jersey Also the people that work there are disgusting they will drop your products on the floor & still give it to the customers please be careful it a lot going on at Hello Fresh please be careful eating their products.
My husband and I enjoyed Hello Fresh our first few meals. After this, my husband asked me to cancel our food delivery. I found it totally difficult to figure out how to do this. Another batch of food arrived, although I thought I had said to stop delivery, my bank account was charged, etc. I have requested at least 4-5 times for Hello Food to stop this charge on my bank account and delivery. Is this some SCAM? Anyone else have similar experiences? I will NEVER suggest Hello Fresh to anyone.
Hello Fresh is a fraud! I ordered my first order. After receiving the first order, I called and canceled the subscription and received the confirming email. I did not select or order any additional meals. The still shipped and billed me for more meals at the higher price. I called to complain and they said there was nothing I could do. I am still trying to determine how to cancel the subscription for real. Buyer beware!

I can tell this company is scam. Even thought I used to use Paypal to avoid this kind of situations it seems that Paypal is not a secure source of Payment anymore. There is no way that I received a coupon for a free sample and while trying to claim it I was asked to setup an account, introduce a source of payment (which I had Paypal) and being charge without finishing my order. I did received three emails from them, #1 welcome email, #2 asking to finish my order and giving me a borderline time 11;30pm, #3 Paypal email on the borderline time announcing a $91.10 charge on my account for items I even didn't choose. I didn't finish the order because it was not free at all, and because I didn't like what they were offering then, I called to cancel the next day after I did realize they have made an order for me. I feel ripped, abused and think they are doing this under Paypal's consent because I have scaled a dispute that Paypal had closed without reimburse my money.
